When Flea Market Fancy first came out, I ordered the entire fat quarter collection. Much of it has been sitting on the shelf, waiting for a project worthy of this fabric. After years of this, I figured maybe it's time to use it. What better way to use my favorite prints than on something that will get a ton of use -- a baby towel.
I sewed this in a sloppy hurry, but it is still very cute and dries a baby just as well as one with perfectly applied bias tape. I followed the general measurements from a hooded towel project in the most recent Marie Claire Idees, but it's not exactly difficult to figure out a hooded towel on your own. A small piece of fabric, one bath towel, two packages of bias tape and you're good to go. There are more towels for Kate in the works. I can't believe I didn't make custom towels for the boys!
