Shortly after I got my spinning wheel I did a fair bit of spinning, then it made its way into the craft closet where it stayed for a bit. When I started spinning again this winter I became truly hooked. I bought a pound of "wool pool" mixed wool from Spunky Eclectic and decided to spin a 3-ply fingering weight yarn to make a sweater.
The fiber (colorway is Castaway)
The singles (I spun just over two miles of them)
The yarn (skeined then yarn-caked)
All of the yarn
The knitting (unblocked)
I'm knitting Tempest without the stripes. I love this sweater pattern and I can see a few more of this incredible basic in my knitting future. I cannot wait to finish it and hope to wear it before it gets to be so hot here.
