Arlis' Doctor's Sock
John's godfather just had a stroke. Since we live so far away from them I felt like there was nothing I could really do to help. Then John's godmother emailed me, saying their family doctor has been going above and beyond helping them and that he refuses any payment other than handknit socks and that I've been conscripted to knit them. Knit socks? That I can do. Although they're for his doctor and not for him, every single stitch is filled with prayers for John's godfather and his family and all those helping hiim to recover.

That's an awesome request! What a way to thank someone and how humbling to receive that kind of request.

I wish John's Godfather a speedy recovery: and the socks look beautiful.

Prayers coming your way and prayers of thanksgiving for their doctor. People like that are hard to come by now.

Knitting as prayerful thanksgiving - how wonderful. John's godfather Arlis is in our prayers.

John's Godmother says the socks are perfect and all of the prayers are appreciated. We are doing well. Many thanks to our beloved Brynne and the rest of the knitting world.
