Mommy Snug Revisited

I finished Mommy Snug back when I was a mere slip of a girl, only 19 weeks pregnant. I thought maybe the second set of short rows had made it too long. Well, here we are having a lovely cool spring in Houston and I'm still able to wear the sweater in the evenings. I'm SO glad I worked those extra rows!

I've worn this sweater three or four times a week since I finished it. The Rowanspun dk is holding up very well, with just a little bit of wear on the undersides of the arms and the edges of the belly. If I were to knit this again, I'd use a sproingier yarn so the rib would really collapse in on itself. Still, the yarn was stash and it's been fun having a bright maternity sweater. As you can see, I wear it without any regard to matching the rest of my clothing. Assuming my future babies are being gestated in the right season, I will so wear it again and I cannot see this sweater wearing out before I'm done having kids. If you're thinking about making a Mommy Snug, it is SO worth it having a well-made maternity sweater that really fits, even if it is only for a few months.

Good gracious, Pete, come on out already! You look like you've moved some furniture in there with you!

Beautiful sweater, too. But that boy needs to fly the nest. =)

Wow girl, you look ready to go! I'm glad to see that smile on your face. Those last few weeks can be a killer. I hope everything goes great for you.

You look beautiful in it Brynne. You absolutely glow.

You look adorable, I love the sweater and I can't believe it still fits! Come on out Pete, we're ready for you.

You look so cute, and happy! I'll be thinking of you!

Wow, if you are smiling at this stage, and talking about having more kids (!)(it took me about 2 years to get to that point), you are a Maternity Goddess!

Wishing you all the best!

Brynne, You look wonderful!

I love that photo more than I can begin to say. Yay for you and your boys.
