Last Pre-Pete FO?
Last night I was able to get some sleep and this morning things have slowed down. So much in fact that I was able to finish the ribbing on the Retro Redux Shrug from Lace Style that I started Thursday night. I still think I'm in labor, it's just very slow and reasonable right now.

Pattern: Retro Redux Shrug -- Lace Style, 42" cuff to cuff
Yarn: 4.5 balls Knitpicks Main Line in Blueberry
Best part: Insanely easy lace pattern, perfect fit
Worst part: Again, the picking up and knitting the giant 2x2 rib edging -- 192 sts this time
This pattern does call for 4 different needle sizes, so it's also the perfect project for Denise Interchangeables. It was nice not to have to deal with any increases or decreases.
I think this will be the summer of shrugs for me. Small enough to see quick progress, perfect over a nursing tank, just enough for Houston's arctic-strength air conditioning.
Now we're off to tempt fate by running some errands. Hopefully the next post will be great news!
Man, you're a fast knitter! Great-looking shrug. It's perfect for you!

Great looking shrug. I only question its ability to fend off arctic strength air conditioning. (Keep in mind that in summer I usually pull out the cashmere for church and occasionally one layer is not enough.)

Oh come on Pete you are dragging this out way too long! And you Brynne, you knit too fast! Why cant i? It takes me weeks to knit one sock!
I'l cross my fingers that this is finally it for you :)

Wow, the shrug looks great, but it was so hard to concentrate on it! Good luck with the labor, I hope it goes smoothly. We'll be thinking of you and sending best wishes!

My best friend went into labor a week earlier than her date by walking around shopping for antiques all day long. Like, ALL day long. Good luck!

I can only say this "out loud" because I am a complete stranger and would feel weird saying it in person....
You are incredibly beautiful! And to pull that off in the last hours of pregnancy, wow!
Good luck in everything! Hopefully your tummy is mostly filled with amniotic fluid and Pete grants his mommy an "easy" labor.

Looks like Pete may be an April Fool's Day baby. I hope it's an easy and healthy birth for you both!
And your shrug looks great!
