I am almost done with Christmas, really. I just need to duplicate stitch one more M on my husband's Alma Mater socks and that will be it. What's the problem? My knitting bag has been in the back of the car for a week now and for some reason it never makes it in. Why go out to the car when there's sewing and quliting to do right here?
Here's John's finished cape. He's Ming Ming the duck, dontcha know! I tried to convince him his brown corduroy Mailorder hat was part of the costume since it's a decent match for a pilot helmet, but he will have nothing of it. Oh well...
This is the one where he was sort of standing still, mourning the loss of the tree the apartment landscaping guys cut down outside our window. I have since fixed some fit issues on the shoulder area of the cape, but I strongly doubt he'd be this still again.
I also finished up the baby and doll quilts for my friend and her daughter. The baby shower is on the 30th. I still have to make the cake for the shower, but that's a post-Christmas challenge.
Her shower/nursery theme this time around is green and yellow, some pink okay, no purple. I figured adding blue wouldn't conflict too badly. I love these quilts so much!
